Chris Howser was the British Epee Champion (2005), is a former British Number 1 at Epee (currently no. 6 (10/05)), has represented Great Britain and England at World, European and Commonwealth Championships, winning Silver Medals at the Commonwealths in 1994, 2002 & 2006.

Chris, as a junior, won two Under 20 Epee National Titles and a Under 17 Foil Title. Chris was the last male fencer to be in the top 25 of the National Rankings in all 3 weapons (Foil, Epee and Sabre) concurrently.

Having qualified as a fencing coach with Professor Brian Pitman in 1990, Chris has since coached at the Kingston University Fencing Club, Kingston Fencing Club, London Thames Fencing Club, Westminster School and Eton School to name a few.

Chris is currently coaching full time and is building up fencing at a number of schools across Surrey. He is developing the Redhill and Reigate Epee Club and is also the fencing coach to the South East Modern Pentathlon Development Squad which includes many Pentathlon Age-group National Champions.

Kate Gardner is a current British International Foilist (British No 1 (07/2006)), won a Team Bronze in the 2002 and an Individual Bronze in the 2006 Commonwealth Championships. Having been one of the youngest fencers to have qualified as a British Acadamy of Fencing Coach when she was only 15, Kate is now expanding her coaching to include Epee. Winning several Opens in recent seasons, Kate has kept her top flight competitive career going whilst at University and coaching. At the 2004 National Championships Kate reached the Quarter Finals in the Individual and came 2nd in the Team Foil, in 2005 as part of R&RECs Ladies Epee Team reached the semi-finals proving her Epee credentials. Kate tries to coach at the club as often as possible, however is occasionally away in Poland training. As of May 2010 Kate has suspended coaching at the club to care for Isabella our baby girl.

Neale Thomas was a recent Welsh international fencer and has competed for Great Britain at World Cup level in the 1990's. He is now coaching full time at schools etc in the local (Leatherhead) Area and is a British Acadamy Qualified Coach. In 2005 he was a member of the R&REC team which placed 3rd at the National Championships.

Bryan Lewis is a very experienced coach and currently teaches & coaches at the City of London Freemans School. With decades of knowledge and having competed in numerous Commonwealth Games/World Cup events in his competitive years, Bryan is now coaching at the club.

Matthew Dean qualified as a coach in 2007 and has been and still is a successful Under 20 fencer having reached the British U20 final tableux. Will be taking coaching full time in September 2007 but is available for lessons at club now.

Taran Nicholls qualified as a coach in 2007. He is still a competitive Under 20 fencers and has competed within the Under 20 British Squad. Along with Matt will be starting a full time coaching circuit in September 2007 within local schools.

Richard Fearis qualified as a coach in Spring 2010 and is gaining experience at the club. Great coach for those just starting out as he will work hard on basic style and technique.

Yosif Angelinov is a Bulgarian Diploma Coach. Having won multiple Bulgarian national championships and competed at Junior World and European championships he is a great addition to the clubs coaching team.
